This is my second time on a serious weight loss journey. The first time, (a couple of years ago) I did Weight Watchers and then started going to the gym. I was 210 pounds and lost 60! But it did not really work for maintenance and it was not something that I could handle doing on a daily basis.
I winded up losing my job and was having serious relationship trouble. At first this caused me to lose 10 pounds within a week. Eventually, after about several months of a crazy lifestyle I gave up. I could no longer afford the gym. I stopped watching what I ate. I winded up gaining about 30 pounds back.
I started SparkPeople on 9/12/06 at 178 pounds. This is so much easier! I am also doing workouts at home.

My Goals:
I want to love shopping for clothes again! I want to look good and feel good about myself once more.

After having been on Spark for almost a month I have realized that I not only want to lose weight, but I want to become fit. I want a toned, well defined body.

My Program:
I track everything! And I make sure my pie chart (mmmm pie) matches or is close to the recommended daily values of carbs, fat and protein.

Personal Information:
I am an unpublished writer. (Unless you count the highschool literary mag and newspaper. lol) I am very paranoid about publishing my work.

I mainly write poetry, and some short stories. I have three unfinished novels. The first one I ever wrote was actually completed. Unfortunately, my mother threw out the first half. Can you imagine my devestation?!? Maybe that's why I have not been able to complete another.
