Updated September 2017 - For the 2017 Fall 5% Challenge!

I'm joining another 5% Challenge since it's been awhile!

My fitness goals are to be active 5 days a week - this will be mainly youtube chair videos since I broke my ankle on Labor Day. I also hope to include swimming soon, and walking once cleared by orthopedics.

Food plan: meal tracking with a focus on reducing after dinner eating.

I hope to heal so I can be ready for more trails, cycling and another TRY at the triathlon!

Yes, Grandma was Czech! She used to make the hoska every weekend when we'd visit. As I got to be a teenager, I'd bring along my bestie and she loved it too! Later on in life she re-married to a Swedish man, and learned how to make Swedish limpa bread. I always preferred the Hoska, though. NOTHING in the world better for breakfast!

It's a hard week -- missing my parents, BUT I know both would want us to celebrate and be joyful. so that's what we'll do.

It is nice to see some people know what Hoska is. My grandma made it every week. Sometimes we went to the Bohemian bakery and bought it and also kolachy. i haven’t made it for a few years. I️ try to carry on some of the Bohemian traditions my grandma did. My maiden name is Martinek.
