"Baby steps, ma cherie, baby steps" - Blair Waldorf.

I'm Lizzie and I'm 20 years old, living in the UK.

I've struggled with my weight since I was about 9 or 10 years old, using food as a means of comfort from a very young age due to difficulties faced and issues with self esteem.

By 16, I was over 12 stone and by 18, I'd hit 13 stone and I weighed in at 182lbs. Being 5'4, this meant I was very much overweight.

Through hard work and a change in my lifestyle, I've managed to reach 144lbs and I'm working towards the final goal of around 120-130lbs - whatever feels comfortable.

I'm trying not to focus so much on losing weight, because it's not the best indicator for me as to how my progress is coming along. I'm trying to focus more on my measurements because that's how I buy clothes. I don't go into a shop and say "Can I buy a dress to fit 160lbs?" I go by sizes.

I don't see this as a diet because I'm trying not to restrict myself only until I lose the weight. It's a lifestyle change because I want to alter my habits and become healthy for the rest of my life.
