Hi! I'm married......have two daughters, one granddaughter, and two grandsons!. Two cats and one dog. Found out i am a type 2 diabetic in the year 2007. I am learning how to cope with that and want to get to a healthier and happier weight!
I love to do crafts, scrapbook, play with my grandkids, make about anything, and bake!
I started on the Paleo Diet on June 22, 2014 after having to take my youngest daughter to Colorado to a specialist, who recommended it not only to her but me also! So far, loving it!
1000 to 1200 calories per day

My goal is to drink my water, eat healthy meals and snacks and get some exercise and get this weight off!
I'm doing some Paleo, so trying to cut back on the breads and pastas. I try not to eat too much dairy, but I love cottage cheese, cheese, and yogurt. Don't eat ice cream much, so that helps! Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, and meats.
I live in the Show-Me State of MIssouri!!!! I am happily married to Ronnie! We have two wonderful daughters. Oldest is 27, divorced with two children from that marriage, and now 2 more children.. Oldest granddaughter is 9, Oldest grandson is 7, then they are grandson 17 months and granddaughter 5 months.
Youngest daughter is 25.j Due to her not having a job because of her Chiari, she is now babysitting the 2 babies.....hopefully she will figure out things soon and be able to go to a doctor for her head! Currently still living with us!
I crochet alot! I am addicted to yarn! Just don't get things done to quickly! Need lots done before Christmas! Must get with it!

Paleo does not affect my Diabetes 2 in a bad way at all....in fact I think it lowers my blood sugars! I'm eating healthier foods, cutting out gluten, especially bread. i do eat an occasional regular potato, but mostly I have sweet potatoes. I'm not perfect on the diet, but it was recommended that if I did it at least 80% of the time, I would greatly improve my overall health! there are so many things you can find to cook on the Paleo diet....if you are thinking about it, make sure to look it up on Pinterest! good luck!

How does paleo affect Type II diabetes (for you)?
I am not diabetic (yet) but I am very overweight. Luckily there isn't a family history of it, and nearly everyone is way overweight. I don't want to be the first, but I do worry about it.
