It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. -ee cummings

I am 30 years old and weigh 260 pounds. I need to lose 115 pounds to be at a healthy weight.

I don't want to be sick anymore. I don't want to be swollen anymore. I don't want to make excuses anymore. I don't want to hurt anymore. I don't want to be ashamed of myself anymore.
I want to love clothes again. I want to choose a haircut because it is cute, not because it hides the buffalo hump on my neck again. I want to wear high heels again.

I want to climb, run, scramble, hike and explore. I want to feel sexy and secure in my marriage. I want to like me.

My Goals:
Well, my motivator goals are:
-look better naked! (actually, I just don't want to be ashamed of myself naked anymore)
-feel and be stronger
-get in shape before I get pregnant and have a baby
-be more confident in myself, with better self esteem

My Program:
I'm starting slow, with a goal of losing 30 pounds. I often overwhelm myself with huge plans and I fail miserably, so slow and steady is going to be the key here. (SUCH a hard thing for me!)

Other Information:
I might seem pretty discouraged on here from time to time, but in reality, that is just one part of me. I love my family, my husband, my friends, and animals. I love to read, putter around in my porch garden, clip recipes, and watch TV shows/movies. I like to go to car shows with my husband, cruise the local farmer's markets, and thrift shop. I am a beginning beekeeper, and I like to think that beekeeping is becoming my true passion.

I came across your page and the EE Cummings quote you have at the top of your page really spoke to me! I added you as a friend and would be happy to lend support whenever you need it. :)

Today you have the choice to be amazing. Today you can do more than just try. You can succeed. You can be victorious. Today, you can rock your world. You can look yourself in the eye and smile... because you know that you are fighting for an amazing cause: YOU. And YOU are absolutely worth fighting for.

You can also do the same thing tomorrow.

"It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up." - Vince Lombardi

In honour of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games this Saturday in London, I give to you the Olympic Creed which is as true for the games as it is for achieving our own goals and dreams each and every day:

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

Today, you are a superhero, a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon to others for honouring yourself, your mind and your body; for making the choices that will make you an even better person tomorrow.

Today you are one step closer, because you decided to be. Fight strong, fight well, fight fair.

"Never, never, never, never give up." - Winston Churchill

Welcome! If you need a shoulder, a friend or a virtual coffee at some point, drop by and say hello! I've just celebrated my SP ten month anniversary and am amazed at the absolutely incredible amount of support I've received. This is a fabulous site and you will be astounded at what you get out of it if you give it your all.

To celebrate your arrival at SP in this Summer season, I would like to wish you a everlasting renewal of energy and passion, for this is a time to celebrate the great potential you possess. May the sun shine upon you and fire up your heart to reach all of your goals and find joy in yourself and the world around you. Whatever battles you are fighting, whatever stresses may come your way, may you find energy, confidence, vitality and strength. This is the time to shine bright and show the world how beautiful you are. Embrace the summer-lit brilliance of each day and you will create a new life where all your wildest dreams come true. ~ Michelle
