January 2016. Time to get back on track. 2015 brought a 20 pound weight loss (sustained loss) and got me on an exercise routine. I plan on starting my small weight training and walking 10,000 steps a day. Feeling good that 2016 is going to be the year I reach my goal weight and continued exercise program for health.


June challenge. I am not in a specific challenge this month. I only challenge myself. Each day 10,000 steps and some other form of exercise DVD or go to the gym.

I am going to be doing an April Challenge. I am so committed to put an end to this last 10 pounds and my procrastination!

Through the years I have often promised myself that I will eat as healthy as I can and exercise every single day so that I continue into my older years able to move and feel great. The beginning of this year was no different that every other year. Same promise. This year seems different thought. I have been eating healthy and exercising for almost a month. A record for me. I need to continue on this path of health. I am sure I can do it with all the support and friendships that I have found.


January 1, 2013 - Starting this new year with a NEW ATTITUDE! My nutrition and exercise are the most important things to me this year. I am tired of feeling old and not having an easy time moving like I use to. While speaking about my mother, I realized that I was going in the same direction that she is in now. She doesn't have the strength or energy to do much. I want to be active though my golden years!

August 24, 2012 - Just had Bob Harpers Make me happy tuna salad wrapped in butter lettuce leaves. It was absolutely delicious! I am going to really enjoy eating other recipes. I am going to make his turkey meatballs this afternoon. I can hardly wait for supper!!!!

As of today - August 10, 2012 - I have 9 pounds to lose. 9!!!! How long will that take. Not very long if I buckle down and add exercise to my clean eating! I'm going to get there this time and STAY THERE!

    Probably not scurvy but whatever has been pretty bad. Ended up in ER and got prednisone, codeine cough meds and an inhaler. Xray was clear but I was running a fever for a few days. Anyway, hoping this stuff takes a hike so I can start feeling better.The coughing is getting on my last nerve!

    Thanks Becky. I am trying to be more involved. Things have gotten more normal here and my arm is feeling much better.
    BTW, I bought a book on someone's recommendation..maybe even you, lol! it is called Strong Women Stay Young by Miriam Nelson, PhD. It was a good read. I think I need to dust it off again and have another go. I used to do the basic exercises regularly.
    Here is a link to a page with all her books. The one I got is at the bottom and I think I might also have the DVD, guess i should look for that too!!
