Loving Life

I've been dealing with depression, migraines, and the stress of running my own business. I've realized, recently, that the trick is to focus on not being stressed and it really helps. Making time for myself, being more active... these are things that I cannot afford to "put off" for when life calms down or gets less hectic. They are important things that I need to make time for.

So far, I'm really enjoying making time for me--in many respects.

I want to try blogging ...

So far, I'm really enjoying making time for me--in many respects.

I want to try blogging more about my journey to a healthy lifestyle along with keeping my own journal that I can reflect back on. I may even try to include photos with my own journal.

I'm doing my best to try and get by and have some fun while I'm at it. I love my job (even if it keeps me hopping), I love my Beau, my family, and myself. I'm very happy to be on this path and doing what I can. :)

My Goals:
Once upon a time ago, I was 150lbs and most of it was muscle. Previously, I'd tried to just work on smaller, 'more reasonable' goals... but they just didn't seem to get me very excited about what I was doing. So, instead, I've set that 150 as a goal again. I felt wonderful at that weight and now that I'm older, I'll appreciate it more also!

My Program:
I'm currently trying to watch what I eat and be honest with myself regarding what I have eaten and how much of it. First thing is to be Honest with myself and to be consistent about tracking--both food and exercise.

I recently rediscovered my love for swimming and I think that's going to be my saving grace when it's all said and done. Having grown up on swim teams, I love just doing laps and challenging myself that way.
