Mi Vida Loca

Hi y'all, my name is Becky. I'm a 30 year old stay-at-home mom who is trying once again to get to a healthy weight and live a healthier lifestyle. My kids are 16, 13, 11, and 6 and the youngest has cerebral palsey. You would think the kids alone would keep me active enough to stay on track, but the fact is that our busy lives make it very easy for me to make excuses and not take care of myself. I hope SP can help me change that!

My Goals:
I started at 232 lbs and I want to eventually make it down to 145 lbs. I want to feel comfortable in my own body and be able to do physical activities without tiring quickly and being in pain.

My Program:
For my workouts I am rotating Billy Blanks Tae Bo, Zumba, Biggest Loser cds, and Turbo Jam. I also joined a one month boot camp on SP and so far I'm enjoying it.

Break it down:

One step.
One minute.
One mile.
One workout.
One choice.
One bite.
One meal.
One hour.
One day.
One week.
One pound.

As long as you're moving forward, you will eventually reach the top.

Becky,
Thanks for responding to my cry for help! I guess I get a little frustrated when I have tried for several weeks and only one pound is all that seems to disappear. I guess I just have to be more patient. It did not get here over night and I know it will not leave that fast either. I am a diabetic and I would really like to come off some of these medications. I also have osteoarthritis which makes it hard to exercise sometimes. I have just started back using my stationary bike. I like your ideas and I will keep them in mind while exercising. I am also adding you as a friend looks like you are working hard to meet your goals and it is telling on the scale. I know you must be feeling better. Thanks again for the help. emoticon
