My name is Becky and I live in Germany. I try to live each day, remembering that change is good! I'm going to reach my weight loss goals, and be practicing a healthier lifestyle, by my 25th birthday!
For me, using SparkPeople is about making-over my life. I know I'm going to lose weight and get healthier as a result, and that's awesome, but I don't want to allow myself to become obsessed with the weight loss portion. I want to be HEALTHY.
After almost two months here, I feel like a different person!!
10 pounds down- May 9, 2008!!
I'm getting close to 15 pounds, yay!
I spent the month of June on a trip to visit family and friends in the states, and while I tried to stay somewhat active and to eat fairly well, I didn't make a lot of progress. Thankfully, I managed to maintain my weight, and since arriving home I've lost another pound. I'm ready to get back into this and to keep pushing toward my goals!

My overall goal is to completely change my lifestyle approach around food and fitness. I want to have made this change by the time I turn 25 next year. I am making these changes for myself, for my husband and family, and so that I will be a good role model when I have children.
Right now I am focusing on calorie counting and making healthier meal plans, as well as cutting back on snacking and large portions. I am slowly adding cardio and strength training. And I'm on a long-term racing plan with a friend, so that I can run a 5K by this time next year!

I am originally from Pennsylvania, but I have lived many different places. I love to travel, and city life is the life for me! I studied psychology and voice in college. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life. Right now, I know I want to live longer and have a healthy lifestyle- so I'm focusing energy on these goals!

I'm so glad your puppy is with you in germany! I totally know how you feel--my kitty is totally my baby. He's doing great. He's great company for me, and when he wants to play he gets me running around the house! :)
Things are good--my bad is recuperating and I am able to move around really well. Almost back to how I was before I got hurt! I have a weigh in this week--I've plateaued, and I really hope that I lose something!
I'm so proud of you for being in the 230's! you are ROCKING!

Hi! just stopping by to say hi! I saw that you spent most of June in the states--I hope you had a great time! congrats on maintaining--thats a great success! You are SO CLOSE to getting out of the 240's--and I KNOW you will!
