I'm 40 now.. Yes, and I have vowed that I WILL NOT spend my 40's being fat and unhappy.. My goals are all the same, except for having a deeper burning desire to be committed instead of being interested.

I have struggled most of my adult life with my weight. When I first got married in 1996, I weighed 150 lbs and was so happy with my life and looks. I had a great self esteem and was very positive, outgoing person. However,my first year of being married... I call it, the waaaaay relaxed year.. I gained 30 Ilbs.. Then got pregnant. Ever since then I've struggled to get below 200... Ugh! Now, there are most days that I just want to stay home and not socialize with anyone..

So Now I am ready to start a new chapter in my life. My new goals are to become a better mother, wife, friend and most of all.. Better to myself. I am taking charge this year and setting better examples for my family, especially my children. They need to see that eating right & exercising does lead to a happy, healthy & a more productive life. Something I have been lacking for the last few years. It's now time to reach my goals with the help of sparkpeople I can say "Just do it"

push yourself to finish one more day and you'll immediately be another day closer to achieving your weight loss goals. Don't let life get in the way, because it always will..

We should not compare struggles with each other, otherwise we set ourselves up for failure. Focus on yourself and help others in the process.
