Well, the scale has at last moved every so slightly, so I know it isn't broken. I realize I am eating too many calories, and too many carbs. I've always been a carb eater, so it's been a challenge to cut back. Now I need to cut back even more...But the other aspects are going well, consistent and varied exercise, increased water and veggie intake. And I'm trying to make healthier choices in my carbs.

My Goals:
To make lasting healthier eating choices and control the unhealthy snacking, so that I can finally lose the 10 or 15 pounds I need to.

My Program:
I'm tracking my food and exercise and trying to stop snacking at my desk all day. Aiming for 30 minutes of exercise every day, but varying the types of exercise instead of doing the same thing each day.

Personal Information:
I live in a beautiful resort area in Northern Michigan. I am married, and my mother (who has severe dementia) also lives with us, along with our 15 year old beagle, Becky. l work full time at our local health department and my husband and I are very involved in our church, so with everything I keep pretty busy, and usually a bit stressed, though I try to hide it. My husband is retired and does most of the cooking, which I really appreciate, but he doesn't particularly care about being healthy, so that makes it challenging too.

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog, and for adding me as a friend. I disobeyed the doc today and took a hot Epsom salts bath. Oh what a treat. So warm and relaxing. Then I washed my hair, and am going to change the sheets on my bed so I can feel like a princess! A trick I learned from Angela Lansbury, give yourself a mini massage after the bath while slathering lotion all over yourself! So I did that too! Even though I don't like the smell of the lotion I used, I don't care. ;-} Have a great weekend, and enjoy the church service. emoticon emoticon emoticon
