If something is "worth it”, if it is important enough to you, then you put your bad habits behind you. You decide what’s important and everything else has to go.
That is what I've been learning since joining Spark. It's not always easy, but if you choose to deny yourself of those bad habits today, keeping the important things at the front of your mind at all times, then it'll be easier tomorrow, and eventually those bad habits WILL go away. It's worth the battle.
My short-term goal is 10% by June 9, 2007, the date of a friend's wedding. My long term goal is 102 pounds, but I don't even want to think that far ahead right now - it's daunting!
So far, my food consumption (portions), my water intake, and my journalling are all in force. I still don't like exercising, but I know it's as important as the other parts, so I've made a pact w/ my trainer that I will not blow off any more workouts with him, and I've started walking on my lunch breaks 2 to 3 times a week.

Hi Becky,, Thank you for sharing what you learned about putting bad habits behind you. I know I did it when I stopped smoking on June 11, 1984. With the help of the Lord. I have not had any cravings for tobacco. my challenge now is weight and I now have a sugary food challenge. Started on insulin 2 weeks ago. I've been a member since Jan. and have been up and down by 10 pounds. Don't tell anybody but I'm still the weight I was back the 245 give or take a pound. Time to put some bad habits behind me. Doing a lot better thanks hun, was sick for a long time, then really busy with cleaning and so forth and baby and dogs.. plus got puppies on the way here in about a week or so.. getting ready for them.. Thanks so much for thinking of me.. So how are you doing and all with the weather change and so forth? How are the lil ones and how are you doing all together??
