After a loss of 50 pounds and 50 to go. If I can do it, ANYBODY can do it.

My green cheek conure, Yazzy. He's a little lover.

This is our little darling, Squirt. She's also a little lover.

Updated 3/21/17:

I am a 66 year old female with the body of a 96 year old. I don't like me anymore.

11/22/15: Over the past 1-1/2 years I've dropped 25 pounds due to a life style change. However, after a chat with my doctor this past week, I know that I must keep the momentum going and continue to lose weight.

After many (and expensive) trials with other weight loss programs, and success several years ago with SparkPeople, I have returned to what I KNOW works for me for the motivation and tools to assist me in continuing the journey that I started 1-1/2 years ago.

My Goals:
I made a promise to myself at the age of 45 that I would lose 50 pounds by the time I was 50 years old. That was 20 years ago (where DID the time go) and I have yet to reach that goal. Today, 11/22/2015 is the first day to attaining that old, old promise.

My Program:
I visit this website several times a day. I spend time at the end of each day planning my menu for the following day and then as each day progresses, I tweak the menu to fit my unique needs for that day.

I also use the mobile apps as a major tool to help me work on achieving my goals.

Personal Information:
My husband and I split our time between our home in SW MI (winter), and northern MI (summer), where we live in our RV and use the ATV trails pretty much daily. I love animals and have a green cheek conure (Yazzy) and a yorkie/poodle/schitzu mix (Squirt).

I am very blessed to have shared the last 42 years of my life with the love of my life, Claude; with the help of SparkPeople, I plan on spending several more years enjoying time with him.

Other Information:
“A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.”
