My son and me at the beach this winter.

Update: I am working towards getting back to my 130 lbs since having my second baby. It is a LOT harder the second time around, but I am committed to making this happen!
Update: I let myself gain 15 pounds over the past little while. I don't know why. But I am back and am going to work harder than ever. I have already lost 10 of those pounds and am on my way back to losing more. I am starting a running program since it is finally getting nice outside and I love running. I've given up chocolate for now, which will hopefully help me with my problem snacking. I don't really like any other sweet, so I'm excited.
I had a baby about 7 months ago and gained a lot of weight (60lbs.). I lost 20 pounds within a few days of having my baby, but despite repeated attempts to eat better, exercise, and be healthier, I haven't lost one pound since. I was happy to find this website and I can say that in the last week and a half that I have been using it, I have already lost three pounds! I look forward to using this more and getting to know my new family of spark users.
Update: So, things have been good. I have lost a total of 18.4 pounds so far, not up to my goal of 2 lbs a week, but still spectacular! I feel great, and I feel like I look a lot greater!
I have had to change a few things to pass over my first plateau. Now, I am lifting weights 3 times a week and doing cardio for 30 min the same day as lifting, and 60 min on my other days, for a total of at least 60 min a day. It has helped a lot. I am looking forward to Spring weather to finally come so I can make it outdoors and do a lot of different things to change it up a bit.
I'm going home to California in a few weeks and am going to hit the beach and not feel so terrible, although I'm not quite ready to pull out the tiny swimsuit yet. We'll see in a few more months.
I am going to exercise more, as well as do strength training, and eat better. My ultimate goal is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 130 pounds.
I am doing cardio for 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week.
Weights and strength training will be on top of the cardio to tone my muscles and help with my metabolism.
I am originally from Santa Cruz, California, although I have also lived in Nevada, Utah, and Chile, South America.
I love elephants, as you can see from my background photos.
I love learning new things, reading, being in nature, playing games with my husband (but only if I win), and playing with my son.
My favorite book of all time is Lew Miserables. It is a long book, but worth the time. I have read it many times.
My favorite sport is swimming.
I love talking.
I love meeting new people.
I love being happy.

Hey Fellow SKITT member,
How are you? Been missing from the group but wanted to say hi and iuntroduce myself. How you are doing this fine Summer.
Decided to be more aggressive in my diet since I have been bouncing around all year 5 pounds and go to Yellowstone in two weeks for an adventure vacation.
It is day 8 of no diet cokes. I also decide to change my diet plan to be a little more aggressive and am now counting my carbs (and staying within the range of 150 net carbs), diet coke free, sugar free and trying to keep to a gluten free week. Day 4 of this plan.
Who knew giving up my favorite breads and caffeine would freak my body out so much. But this all tells me I am doing the right thing and that I need to ride this detox phase out.
Wish me luck!
