BECCACOATS is a SparkPeople Motivator!
Hello: My name is Becki, I am now 51, I started Sparkpeople 3.5 years ago because I was tired of feeling older than I really was. I was a Person like the rest of you looking for something that would help me through my struggles with weight gain, low activity level and low self asteem. I have found that with the Help from my Lord, Family and My Spark Buddies.
I lost my oldest son in July of 2000, he was 2 weeks from being 21 and I lost My Mom/best friend just 18 months later.
I was a Firefighter for many years, really enjoyed my job, I had to quit do to a very bad back and knee problems in 2003. Talk about depression. I do still have a job within the Fire dept. however; so I must be thankful. It seems the lord keeps me at check with lots of trials, struggles and tests.
My granddaughter Maddie on Jan 26 of 2008 was diagnosed with Leukemia AML, she was 2 months old on Jan 25. Yep only 2 months old and has AML. With all of this on my plate I need support and the Hands of God surounding me and my family. I am determined to become a better person. Hugs to you all Becki

06/30/08 I am doing great on this SP program. With the support of the teams and the tools here and leaning on my Lord, I am doing a lot better and feeling better. Thank You Spark People.
APRIL 22, 2009 ~ GREAT NEWS Maddie is a Big Sister! Yep! JJ & Mandi had a Baby girl Isabella Francis 8 lb .2 oz and 20 inch long. Little Blessing from Heaven.
November 26, 08 ~ The GOOD NEWS is that Maddie is in remission and she is now HOME in the Tri-Cities with her family!
While Maddie's family enjoys having their little girl home and concentrates on keeping her safe and protecting her delicate immune system during this flu season they ask that you please call before you visit
Thank you all for your Faith, prayers and support of my Granddaughter.

Good news everyone,
To make a long story short Maddie is in remission. She has 100% donor cells and 0 % leukemia cells. Maddies cells have not decided to take back over so that is great news. Madelynn and dads tanning appointment went well. It lasted all of 30 seconds. You should see Maddie in her little goggles and a diaper, ready for the beach.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.
Dear Lord, I have many scars on my body and on my soul. I pray that you will take these scars and use them for Your glory. I pray that you will give me the courage not to hide them, but to show the world the healing power of Jesus Christ in my life. Thank You for healing me and making me whole.
In Jesus' Name,
How I stay on Track~ I pray!
Drink 10-12 glasses of Water each and every day.
Eat 25 + grams of Fiber each day
Eat at least 2 fruits each day
Eat atleast 5 veggies each day
Walk at least 30 minutes each work day and what I can on weekends.
Dear Heavenly Father, I am in awe today, once again, that You allow me to come into your presence with but a word. I am also amazed, once again, that You use simple weak vessels like me to reach out to Your precious wounded daughters. Help me to keep my eyes open as I move through my day. Don't let me miss the opportunities that You provide to reach out and share Your amazing love. I love You so much!
In Jesus' Name, Amen
Lord, I want to be a woman of faith who lives each day, expecting a miracle from Your hand. Give me an attitude of anticipation and an obedient heart that is willing to step out in faith, asking and believing that a miracle is on its way. Help me remember to measure every supernatural work against the truth of the Bible. Help me to celebrate the "small" miracles as well as the "big" ones. I praise You for Your presence and power in my life. In Jesus' name. Amen!
I hope to be at my first weight goal 200 lbs by the end of March. (REACHED)
Then to the long term goal. of 185 :-}
Goal now 170 :-)
I have become a happy outgoing person again and got my confidence back.
Being that I have been on this emotional and physical down since my back injury. I finally decided it was time to shape up!! Enough of this pity party stuff. I am to young to be acting like a chubby cuddly Grandma.
right now I am watching my Calories, trying to do some cardio.. So here I am, looking up to all of you.
I Enjoy Gardening and canning, dehydrating and cooking. It's nice to be able to shop out of your pantry you have stocked from your garden. I make my own spices from my herbs and vegetables. Christmas and Easter are my most favorite Holidays.
When I start feeling better my hubby and I will get back into dancing.
I want to Thank you all from my daily chat and support.. for all of your support and just Being the wonderful people you are.
