Setting my healthy self free

Hello! I am a mid-40's woman who has struggled with either weight or self image most of my life. I've successfully lost all the extra weight several times, but have not kept it off. I'm an emotional eater as well as a boredom eater. However, now that I'm well in my 40's, this extra weight is causing health problems. I need to put myself first and work on getting fit and healthy.

My Goals:
Be in 1-derland by Sept 2013. Met 8/19/13
Be out of obese range and in overweight range by end of 2013.
Be at top of normal range by June 2014.
Be at goal weight of 140 lbs or 64 kilos by end of 2014.
Establish a habit of eating healthy, natural food.
Drink more water, less soda.
Exercise 3-5 times per week.
Encourage my family to eat healthier by example and by the meals I cook for them!
Maintain my weightloss for life!

My Program:
I switched to the fast 5:2 diet in July 2013. I eat low calories 2 days a week and eat at the top of my calorie range or a little over the other 5 days. This really works for me as I feel like I am only dieting 2 days a week. I am eating healthier overall and making better food choices every day.

Personal Information:
Grew up in Minnesota, moved to Pennsylvania in 2011. Slowly adapting to East coast living. Proud Mom of 2 wonderful daughters and proud wife of my much loved husband.

Thanks for the applause goodie! When my neighbor stood up and did that, I'm sure I turned a dozen shades of red. . . . she is such a character :)

And I agree the log in spot is kinda out of the way now . . . have to hunt for it . . . . and it's not really about the points anyway, is it?
