hoping to be fit by forty

I am looking for a healthy, lasting change, not a quick fix. I want to see ME when I look in the mirror, not the person I see now ... I know I am in there somewhere. I want to take control of my life and I want my children to learn from my mistakes so they will not be doomed to repeat them. I hate exercise and I love food, so this is a big challenge for me, but I am commited to doing what I must do.

make a batch of soap or lip balm

My Program:
Structure has never been my friend, so I am trying a different approach this time. Keeping it simple by focusing on what I can eat (lots of fruit and veggies) not what I shouldn't, being mindful of calories, and trying to do some sort of exercise every day.


Other Information:
I enjoy being with my family, traveling, camping, walking, reading, watching movies, watching the Buffalo Sabres play, and making soap (www.bohemianbath.com)

Way to go! I see you have gone 4wks with 90min of exercise each week! emoticon Just think about how good you will feel at Easter emoticon with the way you're going! A day turns into days then weeks, then a month and months. New things can turn to new habits then a lifestyle. You're on the right path!

Hi again, this quote has helped me a lot "If hunger is not the problem, then eating is not the solution"....now I try to stay in the moment...and ask the question..it helps to answer it honestly to yourself...my goal is for 2010, stay in the moment and focused on the people I'm with, not on the food around me...food only gives comfort for a brief moment, but can cause grief if we allow it too...
