My journey to a new me...

I started on here way back in 2011 and, after a lifetime of being unhappy with my weight, I nearly won the battle and made it down to 2lbs away from my goal weight....then I made the mistake of letting every day life get in the way, keeping my head down and putting my family needs before my own. But now it's time to get selfish and start putting me and what I need first......

My Goals:
To make sure I do at least one exercise dvd and/or a Zumba workout every Tuesday morning when I have the house to myself.......

To walk a lot more and only drive when it rains - no matter how much it annoys the kiddilywinks when they have to walk home from school....may we have a very dry summer......

To up my water intake and drink more herbal teas rather than just sticking to the decaf.........

To try to make sure I'm in bed way before midnight - after nearly 13 years of parenthood, it's about time I let the other half chase the kiddilywinks back to bed when they get up during the night.......

To allow myself the odd treat here and there and not feel guilty because I had it...........

To finally be able to wear those few favourite outfits that are hanging on my wardrobe door because they're a bit tight.....and to actually get rid of all the "big girl" clothes that I've held onto all these years "just in case"...........




My Program:
I'm trying to keep to a low carb eating plan as that's what's worked for the last 12 years.

At the moment my exercise is limited to WiiFit, my figure trimmer, yoga and yogalates as, having 4 kids, it's hard to find time to go to the gym. But after the hecticness of January I plan to get out walking (without the kids) at least once a week - who knows, this time next year I may even be running it!

Personal Information:
I've just hit my early 40's and mum to 4 wonderful children. I'm originally from Belfast in Northern Ireland but I've been living on the Isle of Man since 1998.
