This is my dog, Sammy. He passed away on July 29, 2013. He was blind, deaf, and my heart.

And we never even know we have the key...

I've been here since 2007. In that time, I've gained 30 some-odd pounds. It's not SparkPeople's fault; it's all mine. I have been pretty consistent about tracking over the course of the whole time--both nutrition and fitness. But that's all I did was track. I didn't look at my numbers or plan in advance or build any sort of consistency...unless you're talking about consistently going over in my nutrition numbers and under in my fitness numbers!

I'm very frustrated, but it's dawned ...

I'm very frustrated, but it's dawned on me. I have this amazing program at my fingertips, and I don't use it as it's supposed to be used! No wonder it hasn't worked! I've wasted so much time, being thoughtless and careless with this program, watching as other people have had success after success, and all I have to show for it is three clothing sizes higher than I started out with!

Well, no more.

I am following this program. I am going to do it mindfully. I am going to see it through, and gosh darn it, it is going to work.

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

Keep up the logging! Feel free to check mine out, too. I think logging is the most important thing I have changed this go around with sparkpeople. It is really helping a lot.

"Direct yourself, consistently and persistently, toward the places, situations, experiences, people and results that you wish to have in your life.
You have more than enough energy, opportunities and ability, when focused in a specific direction, to achieve whatever you choose.
So choose to choose. Decide how your life will be, this hour, this day, this year, this century, and live the true richness of making it happen."

haha trust me you will notice a HUGE difference. its amazing when you use the right products what happens! even my Estee Lauder or MAC eyeshadows last 16+ hours compared to the drug store stuff that cakes up in my eyelid lines. Let me know how it goes! Tell them you want samples and then will purchase if it works for you!

I love Estee Lauder products to be honest. They are less expensive then Sephora in most cases and provide free consultations. I love the Advanced Night Repair and put my Clinique moisturizer on before bed, and the moisturizer in the morning. Like I said, I have minimal breakouts from these products and I used to have acne that would really bother me. Their Double Wear foundation really lasts and doesnt flake off or gather in weird ways even if you sweat! They seem expensive but trust me, they last. I have been using this foundation for at least 5 months, and still have about 1/3 left. The advanced night repair lasts about the same, too! emoticon
