Starting Over

Hello again. It's been 2 yrs since I first joined Spark People, but I am just coming back after having a baby in July. I am 33 and a mother of 4 now. I had previously lost 50 lbs using this program and have gained it all back plus 5lbs. But I lost it all once and I know I can do it again. My new son is a joy and my family is my motivation to regain that healthy lifestyle.

Have more energy for my kids.

Exercise, exercise, exercise.

My Program:
I want to stay in my calorie range daily.

Eat healthier more balanced meals.

Do cardio and strength training workouts 3 days a week.

Personal Information:
My husband and I are trying to lose weight together. We both have a long way to go but I hope with the Lord's help we can do it. We have 4 beautiful children to keep us motivated.

Other Information:
I run a daycare business and am the Awana commander for our small town's club. My husband is a Agriculture teacher and FFA sponsor. We have had success staying in our calorie range and eating more healthy meals and snacks. Our biggest struggle is trying to fit exercise into our busy schedules.

Hi Nan.I really do like the walk away the pounds DVD. Sometimes I will pop one in if I just want a quick walk. I began the work out maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago and I have only done the 1 mile walk. I really like the workout and the woman who leads is great. I think it would be a good way for you to get your cardio in when the weather's too bad to go walking outside. While I am sweating by the time I get done with a workout, I don't feel exhausted. Definitely an alternative to walking outside.

Hi, Nan and thanks for the welcome back! I was excited to see how your measurements are "shaping up" :) I know from experience how nice that is when the scale isn't being very encouraging. I'm a little concerned about what mine is going to say on Monday, even though I have a couple of days to get back on track. Have a good rest of the weekend, Michelle
