I am 49 and have been trying to loss weight for years and all I seem to do is gain more. I have changed some things in my eating and I am now hoping that with encouragement I will be able to lose what I want.

My Goals:
I have been trying for some time now to loss weight and all I seem to do is gain it. So my goal is to change my eating habits. Get some exercising and lose 90-100 lbs.

My Program:
Eating more fruits and vegies and cutting back on the things I don't need. I have already stopped drinking pop and have cut back to almost no chocolate or other sweets. I am on my way

Personal Information:
I just turned 49, have been married for 28 1/2 years. We have five children, Joni (26), Joshua (25), Jessica (22), Josiah (19) and Justine (17). The older three are away from home. Josh is married. I have a dog (Kesha), two cats (Jasmine and Pheobe), a tiger geoko (baby) and a rat, yes a rat (Spanky).

We live in Rantoul, Illinois

Other Information:
I enjoy all kinds of crafts. Planting flowers, feeding and watching birds and other wild life. I love to read and listen to them on cd when I am driving. My husband and I enjoy going to movies.

Hi Cindi, welcome to SparkPeople and especially the EE team. A great bunch of gals & guys. You'll get lots of support here if you are active in posting.

I have a dog named Keisha too, she's a briard. Name is just spelled with an "I" What breed is yours?

I will tell you that using the nutrition tracker here at SP has REALLY helped me. If you set realistic goals for yourself and aim for 1-2 pounds per week, you'll be on your way to a healthy new you. Best of luck and if I can help you just shoot me an email. Regards, Judy

Welcome to the EE team!!

Ive belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, its a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

Welcome to the emotional eaters team. You will get a lot of support, advice and encouragement here. Post us often. We will listen and help pick you up when you mess up and pat you on the back when you succeed. A valuable tool is the nutrition tracker. You will find it under the my tools tab. It will show your calories, fat, carbs and protein. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and get 30 grams of fiber with the water a day. Exercise 30 min. a day. Spark mail me if you need any help. Check out my spark page. Maybe it will inspire you.
