I am DOING this!

Hi, I'm Shawn, a mother of two with a lifetime of weight issues. I am beginning this venture with hopes to lose around 80 lbs to get to a healthy weight so that I can be around to see my kids grow up. I also want to teach them the importance of healthy eating habits. I want to make sure that my children never have to go through what I did being overweight my entire life.

7/5/13 - I am almost halfway to my goal and I am still going strong. I could not do this without the great support here on SP.

10/2/13 - September really wasn't my month and I ended up with a gain. I am happy to say that as of this morning that gain is gone! I really REALLY no seriously REALLY want to make it to Onderland this month.

Progress in 2013 -

Starting weight: 252
Ending weight: 195 (12/7/2013)

7/24/14 - Getting back on track after pretty much maintaining all of 2014. I want to finish this year out stronger and leaner than I started it!

How are things going with you? I am still bobbing and weaving at the bottom end of the 190's... frustrated with myself... but oddly glad I'm not back in Twoterville. I just can't seem to find that drive to finish this dang weight loss portion so I can get to the epic phase of maintenance... I don't know why I can't seem to find dthat last push to just get it done... I have a good day and then 2 bad days, which is keeping me at about a maintenance range, but obviously that's not what I want. Okay, now I'm rambling about me, when really I was writing to find out about YOU lol. emoticon

Sometimes we all have those days where motivation is low, the scale lies, the work is too hard, the sun won't come out, you just don't want to bother, or it's easier just to eat the cake and not worry about it.
