I am single & was raising my cousin's kid. Johnny. ( Until recently anyway) I have lived most of my life in Bradley Beach, NJ, living the past 10 in Jackson, NJ.

I have been loosing and gaining weight for years, so I finally went to doctors again in January 2011 & had more blood test done. Turns out I am having such a hard time because I am Hypothyroid, Auto Immune & Sjogren's Syndrome Ugghh! (no medication) OK now I know what I am dealing with ...... but its disappointing when you work so hard with little results. Damn hypothyroid! I don't eat often enough so by the time I do I am sooo hungry I want something quick, the foods I enjoy are all the wrong ones for me, breads, cheese, pasta & rice. My Faves are Pop-corn & Hagen Daz ice-cream mmmm. So I am trying to keep working on getting healthy. Less of the above & more veggies & chicken and actually eating throughout the day. I am using the Nutritian section to keep me accountable :o)

2011 I am trying to make more time for me & what I want. I have finally gotten my motorcycle license & got a Honda Rebel (CMX250 orange) now to find the time to do everything ..... work, Johnny, gym, house, dogs, family, life

My Program:
working on getting healthy. Eating more veggies & chicken and actually eating throughout the day. I am using the Nutrition section to keep me accountable :o)
also making sure I get to the gym 3x week & walk more

    Hi Bea, Glad to see you on here. I was in Brick this weekend at my Mom's and thought of you walking around the reservoir when I passed the one on the GSP in wall. I have been a member of Spark forever and I like it but don't use it nearly as much as I should. It has great tools,recipes, & articles. I like that it is a healthy lifestyle approach and not so much a "diet". I started using it when I quit WW, tired of counting points. I will do better with it and walking come winter, once coed softball is over. I do walk but usually on the treadmill so runkeeper doesn't track. I came upon the bear twice too many times walk on our road here. I try to avoid FB for the most part, too much drama. With family that is!!! You doing great with SP, hoping that you inspire me :) STAY STRONG! Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight :)

    Hi there and thanks for the Friend add. SP is a great place to be for motivation and encouragement. Taking time for yourself is important too though so be sure to do something for yourself each day, even if it is just 10 minutes. Im working on doing more "intuitive eating" right now and on getting a strength training program going. I bet your new Rebel is super fun to ride too. Do you get much riding time in Jersey?
