I'm 49 and have been on and off with Spark for 8 years now. I have struggled with weight loss for years and thanks to Spark I lost over 60 pounds. That was with spark. Without spark I gained all but 13 pounds back. Life got too busy and I just did not have time to log in everyday and keep track of my calories and activity. My daughter had a major accident, pedestrian vs snowplow. I guess you can imagine by this post that she was the pedestrian. She had to move home with us for 5 months but is now living on her own at her home. She still is not back to work after 9 months but things are looking hopefull. My son got married this fall to a wonderfull woman. To add to the stress I have been getting treated for migraines that i get every 3 weeks.

Now that the new year brings new challenges its time to challenge myself to get healthy. I found in 2013 how important I am to my family and just how much I am needed. I need to get healthy for myself.

My Goals:
Lose a total of 100 pounds and feel better about myself. I am hoping with motivation from friends and family that I can once again budgde this scale.

My Program:
I have been through all the Stages of Spark. I still struggle with food and know that I have to count my calories if I am going to lose this weight. My biggest hang up is dinner in the evening. If I can get this under control and changed I think I can get past my hurdle.

Exercise is a big part of my life now and I really enjoy it. We recently joined Gold's Gym and I love the classes that are offered. Currently I am participating in Body Pump, Kickboxing and Hardbodies. I try to walk during lunch at work, with a goal of walking during the winter months as well, at least 3 days a week. I also am striving to walk the dog at least one day a week on the weekends for a 3-4 mile walk.

Personal Information:
I live in West Central Minnesota. My favorite time of year is fall. I love to vacation and spend time in the flower and vegtable gardens. My husband and I are looking forward to 28 years of marriage in April.


Other Information:
I like to read, bike, swim, garden and grow herbs.
