If you don't change anything, you'll stay the same.

This is not about where I've been or what I've done wrong. It's about doing what's right and changing my habits to make a new and improved me! Here is a little about me:
Age 35
Married with 2 boys: age 17 and age 13
I'm a CNA with some college under my belt. I plan on going back to college for nutrition or research...still deciding.

My hobbies:

I'm a CNA with some college under my belt. I plan on going back to college for nutrition or research...still deciding.

My hobbies:
Swimming, lifting weights, walking, spending time with family, listening to music (I think I'm a DJ lol), meeting new friends, reading, gardening, and I LOVE traveling. I've been to the Bahamas, Cali, Florida, and Hawaii (plus other states not as cool lol). I love learning about other cultures! I love to cook and read about living a healthy lifestyle.

My past:

I grew up eating whatever I wanted. We never talked about nutrition. I was a sprinter and high jumper 7th-9th grade, and also did cheerleading in 9th grade. I hated the cheering part, I just wanted to do the flips and I was proud that I was strong and could hold up all the smaller girls. I used to be able to do 5 back handsprings in a row.

I played basketball with the boys, arm wrestled any and everyone, raced anyone on foot or in the pool, and when I wasn't in sports I LIVED at the swimming pool in the summer. I grew up in Indy but I don't plan on staying here. I've always wanted to move to the beach one day, my dream will come true!

I was 140lbs and a size 9/10 as far back as I remember. I was never skinny but just right. I was perfect for my height (5' 7"). Basically I gained all my weight while pregnant and never lost it. I stopped playing sports as I got older and the pounds just snuck up on me.

I'm working slowly to change and lose fat. If you are too, feel free to spark me or friend me so we can do this together! :)

Jennifer

Thank you for adding me as a friend!

Since you asked, I didn't find my work-out clothes yet... However, I didn't let that stop me...I did workout that day. (In my underwear..thank god I live alone. LOL!)

Now, due to the heat here, I'm focusing more on walking and trying to attain that elusive goal of 10K steps a day. emoticon

Thanks for adding me as a friend on fitbit......I have no clue how to communicate on that site...yet. However, I'm looking forward to seeing how we do with the weekly steps goal.

Wishing you a fantastic day!

Hi, yes I still log my food everyday; have been since I started on SP last August. The Dr. had me on 1200 calories a day and the dietician divided those calories into 120 grams of carbs, 40 grams of fat and 60 grams of protein a day. I had been working out at Curves but not regularly. So I went back to 3 times a week and in April started walking 10K steps a day. Some days I don't get that many steps in, but I try.

I started losing weight and then it came to a standstill. I was burning 3 times more calories than I was eating, so my body went into starvation mode. So I let the SP program redo my calorie count. It upped it and I'm using that as my guide. I'm having a hard time losing the last 7 -8#. Guess I need to start eating more. We'll see how that goes.

Hope that helps.
