I am a fine aged bottle of wine, that gets better with age.

I am a widowed mother of a beautiful 15 1/2 year old daughter. My husband passed away 3 years ago. My reason for joining SparkPeople was to set an example for my daughter on how to be healty, eat healthier, exercise more, and to increase my activity level. My daughter swims year round and has practice Monday - Friday for two and half hours a day and three hours on Saturday. She will also begin her first part-time job this summer. I am trying to figure out how to balance everything, plus fitting in time for SparkPeople. So far the Spark has been very motivational and inspiring; however, I am feeling very overwhelmed. But, I do have faith that God will see me through my struggles and help me in my journey. I would love to hear from other people on the Spark on how you handle these struggles.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my page. I'm glad I can be an inspiration. We all have our share of trouble in this life, but I know a Savior that NEVER fails!! My trust is in Jesus, and I know he will see me through. It's nice to meet others that share my faith!

Good luck on the battle! I know we can do it!!

Tuesday Challenge:

It's very important to have a "vision." It's important to have goals. The bible says "without a vision, the people perish." So I think it would be very beneficial to take some time and think about what goals you have for this battle. Maybe...to get down to the next size, lose weight for your health, more confidence, get stronger, lose inches, wear an old dress that you haven't been able to fit into for years, etc, etc.

So for today's Challenge: Think about your goals, then, jot it down on some paper. Not only that...post it somewhere where you will see it daily. This should help us to remember where we want to go. And help us stay on track to achieve our goals!

Don't forget to get your 2 pts for completing this challenge! Have a great day!

I'm responding on your page since we aren't supposed to start new threads on the 8 Week Battle. Where you posted originally on the squad weigh-in thread, toward the bottom of your post you'll see an "edit" button. Just click on that and you'll be able to update your information. Do that each week and you'll be golden. Anytime you need a question answered just post it to the "battlefield communications" or your squad support thread. Battle On!
