Well it's about time I restarted with Spark People and my diet

Hi All
I recently restarted Sparkpeople and dieting. Currently am enjoying the combination of sparkpeople with Nutrisystem. I appreciate all the Members here who share foods and I share manually entered foods too.

Hi All
I recently restarted Sparkpeople and dieting. Currently am enjoying the combination of sparkpeople with Nutrisystem. I appreciate all the Members here who share foods and I share manually entered foods too.
I joined the sparks people the first week of January 2009. One of my daughters found Spark People site. We decided to sign up, and team up and both lose all the weight we need - mainly for health reasons. Also we intend to do this before we fly out for the holidays to see all the family and some old friends - next year! Can just barely do it in that time! 93 pounds goal. Have lost a few #. Actually having fun!
Still finding my way around this site, it is a good one and I appreciate all the creativity and love that has gone into the Sparks program. That creativity and love is partly why I am doing better and dropping weight, safely, gradually.
IT'S ABOUT TIME I actually lost all this weight. I was 120 in the mid 1990s. After losing someone near and dear to me (he and I used to do yoga together and he would make me veg juice - but he passed...) Also after age 55 it was WAY harder to lose weight but I suppose didn't try hard enough to compensate for changes as I got older. I never dreamed I would be heavy so long. Now I AM trying and so far it's working! It's never too late to re-invent oneself. At 64 this is what I am doing.
All the Best of Luck to everyone.
Happy Healthy New Year 2009.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I was away for awhile and they changed the site so much I am having trouble figuring it out. But I guess that is good mental exercise for warding off dementia. Good luck with your program!! This time of year doesn't scare me because this is when I lost the most in the past.

Hi & thanks for the note on my page; I also gained between a very long road trip from Florida to Maine and back this summer, and then Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc. I am losing now, too. I don't get on the computer everyday because I have had tech problems too. I've decided not to try to do everything every day, because I just don't have time. Sparkpeople has helped me though, because when I log my meals and see the nutritional information, I know when I have to start eliminating things. Good luck now that you are back on track, Vicki emoticon

emoticon Happy New Year. My photo is a fooler. I took it after loosing 20 pounds here. Then I stopped Sparking and gained it all back. But that is what the new year is all about. Getting all those good habits back. You are ahead of me now. I'll try to catch up and you keep staying ahead. Okay?

Thank you for the goodie and all the kind words. I'm afraid I'm not much of a writer, and don't keep up my blogs. But this year has been a time of real personal growth for me.

I hope 2010 will be our best year ever!
Annette
