My Goals:
I just need to stabilize my weight so I don't get diabetes. I'm aiming to get back to 120 because I remember that being a healthy weight for me. If I never make it to 120 but end up at 140 instead, I'd still be quite happy with my results. For me, this is not so much about fitting back into that outfit or looking good, but it's about trying to manage the health issues I have some control over. I've lost weight with SparkPeople before, but I gained it back when I was thesising. I decided that graduating college was more important than maintaining my girlish figure, so now I have to work doubly hard to return to a healthy weight. Still, I think it was worth it.

My Program:
I'm tracking my caloric intake and aiming for about 1200-1400 calories a day, with 1500 being the absolute upper boundary in case of an "emergency". I'm going to try to increase my non-starchy vegetable intake and watch my serving sizes. I'm trying to incorporate the principles of volumetrics into my diet with the hope this will allow me to keep my calorie count closer to 1200, which would be my ideal if it didn't mean starving. Also, I refuse to deny myself desserts, and hope to find some low-calorie treats so I won't feel like I'm missing out. I am going to make an effort to have sweets only in small portions when I don't know how many calories they have. Ideally, I intend to cut down on unknowns as much as possible. My newest goal is to try to increase my fiber intake. So far, I haven't been doing so well, but I realize most people don't get enough fiber.
