HELLO, I'M HERE!!!

Well, I've arrived. One more attempt at that big weight loss goal. From what I've seen so far, I'm in the right place. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of two, mother in law to 3. I have raised 3 sensational children into adulthood. I'm proud of myself. I am a widow. My late husband died when my youngest 2 children were just 12 & 14. I've tried every diet out there, I thought! I've had a tummy tuck, liposuction and gastric by-pass. Here I am in all my enormous glory. The two biggest ...
The two biggest disappointments with my weight loss journey has been giving away my 3 children in marriage and not losing weight to fit into the size 14 dress I bought when I was a size 20. I may have even been in a size 22 at their weddings. My next disappointment was at one of my grand children's birthday parties, other grand mothers were on the floor playing with the toddlers and I got down and embarrassed, I couldn't get up. My eventual outlook was "oh well, life goes on". How pathetic! My children still look to me for strength, a feeling of belonging and a sense of stability. How dare I take that from them. I somehow found this site and am very encouraged in believing I've found my place in the diet world. I have a son in the military who is deploying soon and my goal is to surprise him with a new mom when he returns. I can do that for him, my other children and myself. Can't I??? No more questioning myselves...If he can go to war, I CAN DO THIS!!! Hope I can help make your journey possible too.

My Goals:
Will be ecstatic when I reach my goal of 65 pounds exiled. I want to be another one of my grand childrens grandmothers who can get down AND UP from playing with them on the floor!!! tee hee (not really funny).

My Program:
I'm loading up on fresh fruit to replace my cookies and other sweets. I'm dedicated to walking 1-3 miles a day to start with. Sticking to my meal plans unless I drink a hot and spicy V-8 or xtra fruit.

Personal Information:
From NW Florida

Other Information:
I'm in a real mess physically. My biggest hurdle is having hypothyroidism and taking 13 medications a day. My metabolism is bleak to say the least. That just makes me have to work harder to reach my goals.

Hi! Sorry I haven't been very active lately. Life has been happening all over the place and setting me back in so many ways. Car trouble, emergency pet surgery, all kinds of things. But in all that i still managed to get down to 281! So weight loss is still happening, Beth and I are still eating healthy and eating about 14-1500 calories a day. Walking 12 miles a week again. Just haven't been entering my numbers in here. How are you doing?

Hi! I just got your message. My computer had a virus, so I was without it for almost a week. But yes, I would love to walk on Thursday. Just let me know for sure, and hopefully I'll remember to put my tennis shoes in the car!

My journey is at a standstill right now. I haven't started exercising yet, but I plan to start this week. One way or another, we'll get through this!

To both give and receive support, I suggest joining and participating in at least one Spark TEAM. When you signed up, SP offered you a "Spark Class" which is a team for the newbies who signed up the week you did.
