Waiting to Inhale.

I always seem to find myself waiting for something. I waited 30 years to finally buy myself a piano. I waited 20 years to admit my real religious beliefs, and am still in the closet around some people.

But how long must I wait to realize I don't enjoy stuffing my face with junk food, and then trying to make myself feel better by buying excess stuff?

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy. My means of achieving that goal are to exercise and lose weight. The exercise is not hard for me. Achieving a healthy weight is going to be tough.

Start weight 260. Current weight 253 (as of mid June 2013).
For each 11 lb off from now on I get to take myself out for a fun day of whatever I want to do.

250 - Yarn for fun socks (see 235) - Done 6/29/2013
245 - Arrange private music lessons. -Done 7/10/2013
233 - Home movie night with a friend.
222 - fun socks!
211 - 1 day off from work, just for fun, just for me.
199 - Knee-high Fryes!

My Program:
Tracking my food daily, seeing a dietitian, and running the couch to 5 k program 3 days a week.

Slight program change. Instead of tracking food regularly, I am following the Fuhrman plan.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Southcentral Alaska. For the 8 years I was married we spent time in MD and England. I came home to my beloved Chugach Mountains when the marriage ended.

I live with my grown son and my small dog in a townhouse style condo in the suburbs of Anchorage.

I love to knit, write adventure stories, and go outside and play. My favorite sport is skiing, but my ankle won't let me, so I compensate with swimming, cycling, and running (very slowly).

I had to laugh that you had to take your mean face down from your blog today. Seems a bit silly. I hope you have a wonderful day. Did you get your socks done? I see you bought yarn. Way to go on the pounds gone
