My Goals:
Just 4 years ago I ran a half marathon and its time to get back in shape!!! I'm not getting any younger after all...

My Program:
Healthier eating and realistic exercise routine. I want to get back into the shape that is necessary to run a half marathon again.

Personal Information:
Long Island, NY, but moving to the HIGH POINT area of North Carolina in March of 2008

Other Information:
I joined SPARKPEOPLE in the spring of 2007, did very well for a while and then lost ALL GROUND. I am determined to stick to a new lifestyle this time around!!!!

Thanks for your response to my "breathing" question. I've been living here 3 years but I grew up in NY and PA - it is such a difference - I thought I was nuts. Thanks again for your help.

hi barblam,

please do not give up! i understand just how hard it is to lose the weight and keepit off. also to lose all the weight i need to. that's why i'm here at spark. you are worth all the effort and hardwork it takes! you deserve to be healthy and remember that real beauty starts from the inside out. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY IMPORTANT! You need to take care of yourself.

Remember that you have a choice to be healthy and consider yourself important enough to do the best thing for yourself!

you don't have to be a part of a lot of teams. you could figure out which ones meets your needs the most and stay withthem. also, find yourself a buddy whom you can reach out to instead of reaching out to food. someone whom you trust and feels very supported by. when you are feeling down or upset you have someone specific you can sparkmail. i found this to be very helpful for me.

if you want i will be a buddy/friend to you if you want! YOU CAN DO THIS!
