A GREAT place to live
Barbie Ain't Here was a smarty-pants response (my web name) to being 55-plus and having the body of an older person; but, while it's true I am no Barbie, I love being a woman: Luxury baths, shoe collection, interesting clothes, homemaking, collecting jewelry, recycling interesting beads, furniture and books, and nurturing my family.
Live gracefully and gratefully into my next decade of adventure. Keep the glucose down, the weight off, the mind fulfilled, and the heart full!
Eat sensibly, track nutrition, track my walking, read and read some more. I will likely have more strategies later--and, oh yeah--EVERY day, dress, groom, and do some self-talk about self worth.
How to do this? I am 57 years old. I have some health challenges, though they do not overwhelm and control me.
I have always loved food and have always loved to cook and feed people. I am the kind of person who can go just about anywhere, (go to message board, introduce yourself, and look for "Well, here I am..." for the rest).
I am a glutton for contemporary American fiction. I do not read romance genre, but most other things are fair game for at least a quick scan. I read about 2 books a week, and when I am ill, three. Any suggestions for authors or titles are welcome!
