Changed my Spark name from Fitby50too to the current one

March 2013 ---

I begin again - from a similar starting spot weight wise - yet not the same me.

Quote that stayed up on my status for all of 2012:
I want you to be everything that's you, deep at the center of your being. ~Confucius

It is very possible - though only time will tell, that the new shift inside me - which I physcially, spiritually, and mentally feel -- will translate into something long term and tangible.

Now I actually WANT what Confucius did.

2012 was a rough year - I shall leave it in the past where it belongs and carry forward only those things that are a benefit.

From 2011:
I started January 18, 2010 with the big E (for error) message on a 330 pound scale. I've made progress and I am MOVING so much better - the scale journey is just slower than I'd like.

I've known for awhile that life is all about balance and making choices in physical, spiritual, and mental areas.

I seem to balance 2 out of 3 pretty well, but it's time to figure out the key to keeping them all steady and strong.

I'm hopping on and holding on tight .. I'll be enjoying the ride - lets see where we go!


Progress:

June 2011 - first time back in the lake this year .. now I'm jogging in the water 45 minutes at a time!!!

May 10, 2011 - Buffalo Boogie- signed up for the 5K but did 2 miles ..

April 2011 - Susan G. Komen 5K successfully completed!

October 2010 - 2 mile walk

July 2010 - didn't lose weight - scale went up and down ... HOWEVER I pumped my exercise intensity and time way way up and FEEL like I'm making progress - clothes fit better even though changes in inches were too minor to change - and mostly just a shift from one side to another - and I'm more confident - maybe too confident

June 7, 2010 - 289.5 Under 290 pounds!

April 13, 2010 299 - Under 300 pounds!

My Goals:
Long Term:
To lose 150+ pounds and become more physically active.

Short Term:
Weigh under 300 pounds consistently by end of May 2013

Swim, bike, or walk everyday this summer ..

Cook 90% of the time this summer

I did it once I will do it again :)



My Program:
Until the end of March 2013:
Bring lunch to work 3 days a week

Cook at home 4 nights a week.

2011:
3 healthy meals within a calorie range of 1200-1600.

To intentionally move at least 30 minutes a day

I'm trying to balance all the other parts of nutrition in addition to calories - it's a learning process.

Beginning:
I wanted a jump start, so I did 6 full weeks of Diet Gourmet, which is FRESH healthy food delivered.

I started cooking again the last weekend of Feb 2010.

It's hard for me to cook and work .. so I need to work on that again the summer 2011
