Let's lose some weight!

Hello,

Its about time I do something for myself. I spend so much of my time doing for everyone else that I continue to neglect me. This time I am going to put myself first no matter what. I promise to put 100% towards reaching my goals.

Being on the Spark Program has been a huge self esteem booster for me. Even if I maintain or only lose a pound; I still feel good. Eating healthier makes me feel like I'm in control. I'm planning how to eat and making choices every ...

Its about time I do something for myself. I spend so much of my time doing for everyone else that I continue to neglect me. This time I am going to put myself first no matter what. I promise to put 100% towards reaching my goals.

Being on the Spark Program has been a huge self esteem booster for me. Even if I maintain or only lose a pound; I still feel good. Eating healthier makes me feel like I'm in control. I'm planning how to eat and making choices every day and that makes me feel in control.

I still need to lose 50 lbs and I know I will get there. I didn't gain the weight overnight and I'm not going to lose it overnight. One day at a time is all it takes. I have a plan in place to deal with slip ups and I did the entire emotional eating program. What an eye opener that was!

I'm always up for making new friends and good luck to everyone in your journey!

Update: 3/24/09 - Well, I went from 197 up to 254 which was a huge shocker for me. It is the most I have ever weighed and I feel so discouraged. However, Spark is still here and I am back to tracking my goals, drinking my water and picking healthy meal plans. One great thing that happened is that I did manage to quit smoking. Now, I just need to focus on my weight loss and being more active. One day at a time!!!

I have been walking and that is alot of fun. Its very hilly where I live so that makes for a great workout. My legs buuuurn afterwards which is what I think they are supposed to do.. ?

8/26/09 - Here I am again starting spark. The only thing I have to say is I don't quit. I may disappear for a bit but I always come back. I am still sitting at 258 which is dissappointing but I am giving this my all and trying again. I don't plan to quit this time and I'm not giving up!! =-)

2/24/2010 - Here I am again. 6 months later and I haven't reached my goals. I really need to take things slowly this time and really focus. I have so much trouble getting and staying on task. I weigh the same thing I weighed back in August. Still sitting around 250 and totally miserable. My body feels so wrong. Its heavy and uncomfortable in my skin. I don't like feeling like this. I am going to make tiny goals and stick with them. My goal for right now, starting this week, is to Log onto Spark every single day. I also will do 30 mins of some kind of activity every single day and I will take baby steps.

My name is Barb and I live in Reynoldsville, PA. I was born and raised in Southern MS. My two children are Destini and Matthew. I am 27 years old and started the program needing to lose 80 lbs. Spark is a great tool!

Other Information:
I love to read and watch movies. My favorite movies are horror and comedy. I like to read anything I can get my hands on. I found I love getting out and moving. I never realized how I was neglecting myself and body til I started with Spark!

Hey there!

I just wanted to let you know that today we have another weigh-in for our challenge. There has been a lot of confusion about our weigh-ins so farů luckily this is the only weird week where there are two back-to-back weigh-ins. After today though, our weigh-ins will only be on Tuesday. So sorry again for the confusion and hope to see you on the boards!
