My journey continues...

It's time to get the weighloss train moving again. I've been fortunate to maintain (within 5 pounds or so) the weight loss I had already achieved but now I know I need to get going and drop a few more. I'm going to be travelling to some festivals to work so I may have to focus more on my eating than exercise while on the road. The good thing is I'm only gone for the weekends so I'll have to plan my exercise for the evenings I'm home.

Rome wasn't built in a day... and neither were ...

My Goals:
I'm losing weight to be healthier and working on being fitter.

Maintained weight loss!

New pair of denim and black jeans for work: size 12 - 3/19/2014

I'm setting mini goals as I go along to keep myself motivated.

Scale under 200 lbs: 9/21/2012
Fit into smaller jeans: size 16 - 9/24/2012
Scale under 190 lbs: 10/26/2012
Fit into smaller jeans: size 14 - 11/05/2012
Scale under 180 lbs: 12/07/2012
Fit into smaller jeans: size 12 - 11/25/2012
New dress pants for work: size 10 - 10/2013

Time to figure out what my new goal weight will be...

I was able to maintain (within a few pounds) my prior weight loss even with multiple Thanksgiving dinners (Southern cooks are fantastic!) and Christmas.

My Program:
I'm tracking my food and exercise. I thought 8 glasses of water sounded like a lot but once I realized I have a bottle I can fill and empty (drink) 4 times to be over the 8 glasses the water isn't so hard to get in, plus I get the extra bits of exercise going to the fridge to fill and retrieve my water bottle!

Personal Information:
In the south, eveyone is part of your extended family.

I've had multiple Thanksgiving dinners and the food was incredible! I was lucky to have learned alot about myself and how to eat so I could have everything I wanted (in moderation) and try some new foods without the guilt.

Other Information:
I'm a cat person and currently cater to the needs of 2 cats: Tiger and Sunshine. My little boy Midnight joined his family at the Rainbow Bridge. I took his passing harder than I realized but am dealing with it as best as I can. Their mom, Misty, passed away while I was out of the house. I came home to find her in one of her favorite sunny sleeping spots. I know that she along with Mittens, Punkin, Trouble, Sugar and Baby are all playing at the Rainbow Bridge and some day we'll all be together again.

Hi Barb! I read one of your responses to a message board post and it was really inspiring! I'm also coming back to Spark after a break (ok, maybe I've taken many breaks!), but I've never gone back to my starting weight. It's hard to get started again, but it needs to happen.

Good luck to you!!

Thank you for commenting on my post on the message board. I really appreciate what you said. You are absolutely right... and I know that I have to just tune out the world and do what's best for me. You're a great inspiration for that. emoticon

I love your cat photo! Yes, the new jeans size is an amazing feeling! I started at size 18 and now fit in a 14...my ultimate goal is 10 again.

Thanks for your support on my blog!
