February 2013 vs. February 2015. One year of maintenance under my belt!

In March 2013, I had gotten sick of being unhealthy. I was unenergetic, stressed, and felt...well...fat. I decided to do something about it, so I joined Sparkpeople. My goal, instead of getting "skinny" was to become healthier and feel better. When I got a Fitbit in September 2013, I decided to use it to eat at a 1,000 calorie deficit, which was actually more than I was eating while only tracking with Sparkpeople.
I hit my goal range and began maintaining in February 2014. I strove to learn how to maintain while keeping a balance in other areas of my life. At that point, I was working out for an hour daily and pushing to the max during essentially every workout.
My husband and I then began trying to start a family in May 2014. I had issues with hormone production and found out in January 2015 that this is likely due to my diet and exercise regimen while losing weight.
In April 2015, after a long round of injectable hormone therapy, I found out I was pregnant. I had an ultrasound a few weeks later and discovered it was triplets! I was completely overwhelmed at the time, but now my husband and I are both very excited and trying to prepare ourselves for the big task ahead as best as we can.
Eat at least 4,000 calories a day up until week 20 of my pregnancy, and then follow that with eating as much as I can.
Listen to my body for when I can be more active and when I should rest.
Plan and prepare as much as possible for having three tiny ones to take care of!
Eat, eat, eat! But continue to make healthy choices that will benefit both me and my babies.
Walk the dog when body, circumstance, and weather permits for 15 minutes a day.
Be active in some way daily, whether a formal workout video or grocery shopping, etc.
I'm from Michigan, and I have been married since December 2010. We have a sweet doggie named Winter who is the light of my life. I became pregnant with triplets at the end of May 2015 =).
As a result of my efforts to eat healthier and at home more often, I've discovered a love for tasty, healthy recipes and cooking. I am pretty adventurous when it comes to trying new foods, and I love that being healthy and eating good food are not at all mutually exclusive.
