My name is Nancy. I am 40 years old. I turned 40 in December 2010. I don't want to be fat and 40! I have to be 40, but I don't HAVE to be fat.

I want to lose weight to lower my cholesterol and be healthy. I want to feel good and look good. I'm tired of being overweight and having no energy. I want to improve the quality of my life.

It's time for me to stop playing at trying to lose weight and get serious with it and lose weight. I am so tired of losing 2 pounds and gaining 3. This has got to stop. I'm ready to commit to this journey and lose the weight I need to lose.


UPDATE: I have been on Spark People for almost a year and have done absolutely nothing except manage to be 2 lbs above my original starting weight. This WILL change. From this day forward I am really getting serious and I WILL meet my goal weight of 130 lbs. It will take some time and I realize that, but I am sick and tired of playing around with my weight and health. This is not a game, it is a challenge for me to be healthy and happy. I WILL DO THIS!!! No more getting off track. No more saying "oh well I blew it so I will eat everything I want and then get back on track Monday."

NO MORE EXCUSES FOR ME!!!

My long term goal is to weigh 130 lbs.
Lower my cholesterol.
Be healthy.


My Program:
Stay in calorie range= 1200-1500.

Exercise at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. More when time allows.

Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day.




Personal Information:
I live in Cullman Alabama.
I have a wonderful husband and 2 fantastic children. I love boating and swimming. Overall I am very happy with my life, other than the extra weight I am carrying around.


Other Information:
I want to set a good example for my daughter. I want my husband and kids to be proud of me.
I want to prove to myself that I can lose weight.
I can do this!
