Hi, Thanks for visiting my SparkPage. My name is Jacqueline. Every morning that I attempt to get out of bed, it is a struggle. My legs, my feet, my everything aches. But duty calls and I gotta move. Let's not talk about my energy. I feel like a deflated balloon, no air, no power, nothing. Instead of jumping on the next best diet or fad, I had to sit down and looked over the ones that I had done in the past to understand why they didn't work or what I'd done wrong. It came to one thing, my life was not worth fighting for. I didn't record my weight, log in my journals, and exercising was m.i.a (missing in action). Reaching a goal weight of 165 lbs has to be more than just words or an idea for me. Tomorrow could be to late. Today and everyday, I am fighting for my life with God leading me.

Welcome to the Alabama August challenge....we have a new one
coming up in September and they always have a name with the month in it....so don't think when this one is over, that's it....

We have loads of fun and support one another, cheer each other on
and are so glad you signed up.

By the way, I read your comments on your page. I had health issues
also, so I had to get serious in a hurry. Last August my dr. was fixing
to put me on insulin, I had 2 scripts for acid reflux, high blood pressure and no matter what I did, I could not lose...I went to a
nutritionist, who merely suggested I may have a GLUTEN sensitivity.
So she put me on a gluten/starch free plan, and I have lost 78 lbs.
so far since Sept. 6. It sounds hard, no bread, no flour, no corn, no
rice. I have a protein, an approved fruit for breakfast, approved
fruit for snack, lunch is a protein and 2 veggies, afternoon snack is
a veggie(usually cherry yellow tomatoes from walmart) and dinner is
a protein and 2 veggies. I eat a lot of chicken baked and grilled.

9 Day Super Challenge - The 40 Day Super Challenge seemed like a really good idea. Just what I needed to drop a pants size. Well - I didn't stick with it. So this challenge is to participate in the final 9 days of the 40 day challenge. The challenge is to average 60 minutes a day exercise, stay within calorie range, 8 glasses of water daily and 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. The challenge runs from April 1st through April 10th.

April's Exercise Madness - Exercise regularly and track. The goal here is to reach one of the following levels.
Gold Medal - 2000 plus minutes
Silver Medal - 1500 plus minutes
Bronze Medal - 1000 plus minutes

April's Last Sparker Standing - Sign up for this one! Weigh in on April 1, 5, 12, 19, 26 and 30th. If you weight is lower than the previous weigh in - you stay and if you have not lost weight - you are out. Let's see how many of us can end the month on a losing streak.

April's Weekly Challenges
Carb Challenge: Can you go 1 week in April consuming 100 carbs or less every day?
Chocolate Challenge: Can you go 1 week in April without chocolate?
Sleep Challenge: Can you go 1 week in April with proper sleep (7+ hours every night)?
Caffeine Challenge: Can you go 1 week in April with no caffeinated drinks (soda/coffee)?
Grand Slam Challenge: Complete Carb, Chocolate, Sleep and Caffeine challenges in April.
