I am a 31 year old social worker from Atlanta. I'm a bit on the shy side until I get to know you, but I love a good time with good friends.

I am a recovering compulsive eater and bulimic. At 5'9" my weight has ranged from 99 pounds to 245 pounds. I have lost significant amounts of weight more than once, but I have never gotten control over my food.

I have been in OA for about 3 months now and am finally ready to surrender and become abstinent. I am searching ...

My Goals:
1. Lose 100 pounds in 2010.
2. Become physically, emotionally, and spiritually ready to be a mother. Start trying to conceive in October 2010.
3. Run a 5K race.
4. Feel confident enough to get back into the dance studio after 13 years.
5. Most important: become and remain abstinent from compulsive eating, restricting, and purging, one day at a time.
6. Transition from a vegetarian to a vegan diet.

My Program:
1. 1200-1600 calories per day with the following structure: 3 meals and 1 snack, with nothing in between
2. Couch to 5K running program 3 days per week. One 5K walk per week.
3. Daily stretching
4. 1 yoga class or yoga video per week
5. Abstinence from sugar and other binge foods.

2/27/2010--First 5K race completed (100 percent walking). Time about 60 minutes.

Thanks for the add and WELCOME to Spark!

I had struggled with EDs myself and I can truly say I've recovered. Spark has changed the way I look at food, my body, and life in general. I am positive it can do the same for you!!

Please stop by my page any time - and I encourage you to add some of my friends as they have been SO helpful in this journey.. don't know if I could've done it without them!
