Train Insane, Train Insane, Throw Some Glitter, Bring the Pain!

Hi, I'm Beth! I'm 34 years old and the mom of four wonderful children! I have been a member of Spark for over 4 years now and just love it here.

Ran my first half marathon on 5/3/14 with my SP BFF aka SFF!
Time: 2:27:26. Best experience ever!

Now my focus is on continuing to strengthen my body and rid it of the excess weight I've been holding on to.

My regular eating plan includes no sugar, but I will never deny myself of anything. A little cupcake know and then never hurts. And a little glitter here and there does not make me a girly girl!

I love & need support and encouragement that Spark offers. With four children and going to school full-time it can be very busy and very stressful.

My Goals:
To live a healthy & happy life!

To be a healthy BMI
My goal weight range is 150 - 160.

My Program:
At LEAST 10 minutes of exercise daily! Once you hit 10, who wants to stop?!

My family and I live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. I love it here, and although I did not grow up here, I'm glad to be here now and I love this city! Go Steelers & Go Penguins! I think we have a baseball team too...
I'm currently enrolled in on-line college, University of Phoenix. I received my associates in Health Care Administration in June 2012, and am now working on my bachelor degree. I will graduate in 2014.

Well...how do you stick with it? I can't seem to get a grip on my food. I've got working out but man, I love food. And all the wrong things because it's cheaper. I rarely get to eat the healthy food because I live with mom but we can't load up on it because of price and it goes bad too fast. Any ideas on what can be frozen??

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad you are getting a break in the humidity. Saturday's weather for a perfect Fall day. Today's run was good too - 75 degrees and about 46% humidity. Nice breeze. I may be in long sleeves for the run by the weekend, we're dipping down into the 40's at night.

Hey there friend, long time no competition. I was already one up on you when you wrote this morning, I'm in the zone, maybe I can catch you by the end of the week. I've been pretty lost in this place for a while now. I hope to get back on track though-soon. Started out good today. Tell that youngster emoticon for us. We don't have any birthdays until Dec. now. Nice to have a break from them sometimes.
The right job will come along-God knew you needed a longer break than that.
Enjoy your afternoon.

Hello there, have you had the interview yet? I just know you will do great.

My boys are okay with school so far. The oldest's classes have all been review so far. He is my quiet one and I hope things area going well, I won't know until I see a report card. Usually then it is almost too far gone. The youngest has had a lot of homework already and has already had a sick day. He ran a 101 fever for a day and a half with a sore throat. Of course, my 1st thought was strep, but he got over it so all is good there. He does not like the homework. This is his 1st year in middle school so all is different that the fun stuff they used to do. What grade is Preston in? I remember 2nd being the year that my boys spent a lot of time in the principles office. When DS2 started having trouble that year I knew it was just the "age". DS1 has been to the office a few times since then, but mostly for standing up for his friends. He has 1 "friend" who is constantly mouthing off and then DS1 takes up for him since he is a smaller boy and he doesn't like kids picking on the smaller kids and isn't going to let others harm his friend and it all ends up to be a rotten situation. We finally told him that he is going to have to let his "friend" stand up for himself instead of getting in trouble for him all the time. I'm not even sure he is that good of a friend-he seems to use my DS's good heart.

Sounds like you have some serious back issues. Hopefully he can get them worked out for you before long. You might get a second opinion from another chiropractor though. My chiropractor is so quirky that he was even working on a dog last week when I went in. Embarrassing to say I have a dog chiropractor working on me, lol. He loves dogs and every one around here just take their dogs in and he doesn't even charge for dogs. The best part was that that dog had never been in before and you could tell the dog was visibly walking better and was happier when he left. Guess we all benefit from a good back cracking.

Well I better get busy. I'm having such a slow day, I'm so tired today. Very unproductive so far. Enjoy your time off before you go back to work. Congrats again on your accomplishments-you did great!!

Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you. It has been a long winding road but you made it. I knew you would. I remember back when you were debating whether or not to go through with the whole college thing. And all the self doubt you've had over the years with continuing or a specific exam here and there. I can't express how proud I am of you. With all you have on your plate to succeed in such a huge way. WAY TO GO! You enjoy this time, you truly earned it.

Take care and stay healthy

~Mike
