I have been up to 285 before and lost it and (sadly) gained it back (twice actually). I am now 49 YO and I would like to learn the skills I need to keep it off for good this time! I want to look in the mirror and actually feel good about myself so I can have enough confidence to do the things I like to do - like ride my bike or walk OUTSIDE for a change!Although, these things will have to wait a little while more, now!

WELL!Happy 2012 a little late! Sadly, I ended2011 with a massive thrombic stroke(? the clot kind) and thatt bled out some more! Count myself very lucky not to be a vegetable, though! It seems the road to recovery will be kind of long! No left arm as of yet= almost 3 months past stroke but the left leg came back fairly quickly TG and has proven to be quite helpful with my therapy recovering tactics! But some balance would be nice to have back
I've missed you guys and look forward to "Sparking" again throughout 2012!
Well, I locked myself out for a few weeks but I think I am back, again, now! my memory is awful post-stroke! I can report that my hubby & I have walked our route every night but one since 3/12! I takes us abou 50 minutes but we are learning to go a bit faster and extending our route, too!A huge Whew-hoo for us! :) I can't figure out how to track our walks since I do not know mileage ( or estimated "footage")!

Thanks to all for the goodies and well wishes! Sadly, post-stroke, I am finding the Spark website kind of difficult to maneuver! I am thinking it is my 'new brain' and not so much the site but there are a lot of distractions! It seems like now!

Bummer my yard had its best spring & summer this year and sadly, I missed most of it! The good news is that it did not get as Out of Control as I thought it would with no maintenance..... :)
I have regained about 30pounds since February being stuck in this chair and not controlling my addictions very well has been damaging to my efforts. I'm surrounded by well-meaning people who keep teling me "It's OK - you know you had a stroke - don't deprive yourself".... and I , of course, fall for it and take the easy way out!!
