Hello, my name is Stephanie. I am a mom to three beautiful and healthy children soon to be ages 4, 7, and 9. I have struggled with weight loss pretty much my whole life. I am not new to SparkPeople but thought it appropriate to revamp my profile (updated April 11th, 2013). I recently read an article that encouraged me to focus on small things (as does SP). So I decided it was time to re-write my healthy goals.

1. Drink the equivalent of 80 ounces of water each day. I will start small with this one and start at achieving 20 ounces consistently then bump it up by 20 ounce intervals until I reach 80.

2. Eat mainly fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. I will start small by adding a fruit or veggie to each meal/snack. Then I will increase to two servings at each meal/snack. Eventually I will eat enough fruits &/or veggies at each meal/snack that I won't need very many carbs. Lean protein is easy for me, we already eat lean chicken, lean ground turkey, tuna, and eggs for our meat options.

3. Exercise 30 minutes every day. I will start small on this goal by committing to at least 15 minutes every day until that is easy. I will then add 5 minute intervals until I get to 30. If/when that gets easy I will keep adding 5 minute intervals for eternity! :D

4. Get 7+ hours of sleep every night. I have set a bedtime for myself of 10pm since I get up at 6am. Hopefully I will achieve 7-8 hours of sleep each night by doing so.

As for weight loss goals, I am focusing on 10% intervals. Each time I reach 10%, my next 10% becomes a percentage of my NEW weight. Weight loss goals:

My Goals:
Get down to a healthy weight. Right now I'm aiming for a weight I feel comfortable in somewhere between 120 and 140. My goal is to be in a size 6 or 8 pant and a small/medium shirt/dress.

My Program:
Eating more fruits and vegetables.

Controlling my portion sizes.

Drinking lots of water!

Getting at least 15 minutes of activity EVERY day!
