The Me I Want to Be
I have struggled all my life with being overweight and decades have passed by with no lasting success. I want this year to be the year that I find my success. Before I turn 40 in 2013, I plan on being at my goal weight. So many times before I have attempted to lose weight but have failed to finish the fight. Before I turn 40 in 2013, I plan on being at my goal weight. So many times before I have attempted to lose weight but have failed to finish the fight. This time, I want to keep before me the reasons why I want to lose weight. This list is not in any priority number and it will be an ongoing list that I add to, but I want it always before me. -- To bring glory to God -- To be healthy -- To be comfortable in clothes -- To be a better mom & wife -- To not feel treated differently bc of the weight -- To shop in normal clothing stores -- To live a long life and see my grandkids -- To be able to get down & up from the floor -- To be able to cross my legs -- To not get overheated in public like when walking up the stairs somewhere -- To be able to take my boys to 6 flags -- To be able to fly on a plane comfortably -- To be able to wear a swimsuit in public -- To be more active hiking, biking, & sports -- To not be in so much pain -- To not be on BP meds -- To wake up feeling rested and not like a car hit me the night before -- So that my legs won't rub together when I walk -- So that I could enjoy eating out at and not feel everyone is staring at me bc I don't fit in the booth or chair -- To not fear my chair breaking -- To be able to enjoy gardening more -- To be able to sleep better -- To get rid of acid reflux issues -- To be able to walk in cute shoes -- To feel worthy of buying myself new things -- To not feel like the biggest person in the room/or my family -- To not fear family events bc I don't want them to see how big I am -- To not avoid having my picture taken -- To be able to see my reflection and not begin the self loathing process -- To be able to work with kids at church -- To not get diabetes and other health issues like my Mom -- To be smaller than my husband -- To have my husband be able to pick me up and carry me -- To not have a fear of falling down and getting hurt -- to be continued.....

My Goals:
Long Term Goals: -Lose half of body weight by 8/28/13 -shop in non-plus size stores -Eventually fit into a size 6 jeans Immediate goals: -Exercise 4 times/week -Drink 64oz. water daily
My Program:
Trying to stay under 2000 calories/day with a goal of 1700 calories most days. Building exercise into my life. Minimum of 15 minutes walking on treadmill, plus stretching and moderate strength training. I have been inactive so long that I am having to slowly work my way up.
Personal Information:
Age: 38 yrs old Height: 5' 6" Starting Weight: 304 I am a mom of 2 boys and wanting to show them the right way to live. Having been overweight all my life, I'm not quite sure what my goal weight should be. I just know I have a long way to go!
Other Information:
I've been a stay at home mom now for 3 years and the weight has continued to climb. I'm at my largest size now other than when I was pregnant and I want to make a change. I've attempted multiple times in my life to get in control and I would lose down about 40 pounds and then for some reason lose control again and gain it all back. I'm praying this is the last time I ever have to say that!
