March 30, 2017

I have changed my name and my goals a little. I am still Bobbie as always though ;).
I am working on accepting me, today, this very moment. All of me. I am practicing gratitude and thankfulness. I am working on a healthier me. I am focused less on the scale and more focused on tightening my muscles, standing tall, being grateful and being kind to me. I have some wonderful friends here on Sparks, some who have been with me since the beginning. I am thankful and fortunate for all of their support.

This morning on the way to work I was lucky enough to see a beautiful sky filled with pinks and purples (my favourite colours). I was also lucky to get all green lights. I am grateful.

Wishing us all the best on our journey's.

January 6, 2017

Started a new challenge with the Wolf Spirit team on January 4th. I just changed my ticker to represent the pounds I hope to.. WILL lose during these 8 weeks. I am going to reset it to 0 for each challenge.

So far I am loving my SimplyFit board!

December 31, 2016!
It's the last day of 2016! Honestly, my weight is not where I had hoped but I will not give up. It's been a tough year with injuries and emotions. Memories and flashbacks have sent me into a tailspin multiple times this past year. These are not excuses, just reality.

It's okay that I didn't lose the weight, I am a fighter and a survivor and have no intention of giving up!

In February I will turn the big 50! This is exciting and I am thankful that I am alive!

I am looking forward to the challenges here on Sparks. I am grateful for the support from my teammates!

Excited to start using my Simply fit board, I think it will be an awesome tool in my journey. My plan is to go more of an lchf way of eating. I have done a lot of research the past 6 months and I do believe this is the best plan to get my type 2 diabetes in check.

Okay - Let's do this! ! Huggles my friends!

Auguest 4 2016 - update

I have changed my ticker to a smaller goal for now. I have decided to make my goals in increments of 10 until reaching my final goal. So each 10 pounds, I will go in and adjust. It's not a big deal but I think it might work for me. Time will tell!

January 2016

Just like you, I have a story. I have a past, filled with successes and failures. At this moment I am choosing to focus on this particular moment.

My number one goal is to love and accept myself as I am. Once I do this, everything else will fall into place, as it should.

I will be 49 years young in 2016. I have two wonderful sons. This year my husband and I will be married for 29 years! No one saw that coming ! ;))

We have a most amazing Australian Shepherd who expects her walks every morning before I leave for work and in the evening when I get home. Nothing makes me smile more than coming home to her Wigglebutt.

They say the people who exhibit the most kindness
have experienced a lot of pain.
The ones who act like they don't need love
are the ones who need it more.
The ones who take care of everyone else
    need care the most.
    And the people who smile
may be the ones who cry when nobody is around.

"A house becomes a home when you can write "I love you" on the furniture."
I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things
were just perfect "in case someone came over" Finally I realized one day
that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun!
NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the "condition" of my home.
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing
while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice.
    Life is short. Enjoy it!

Dust if you must....... but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake cookies or a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?!
Dust if you must, but there's not much time . . .. . with rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Dust if you must, but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes,
the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around, again.
    emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind. .. . ..
And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived ...
and remember, a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
