A Return to Me
I am learning that I made choices in my life that took me away from my Self. To be sure, at the time, I made them as my best attempt at self-preservation; nonetheless, they still brought me to a place where I couldn’t recognize my Self any more. In fact, when I was young I wondered why it was that others couldn’t see me as I knew my Self to be. That was before I layered more attempts on so deeply, that I couldn’t see Me any more either. Eventually, I forgot my Self. Now I am on this journey; a return to my Self. The Self that I was born as; the Self I was meant to be. Now I can finally see Her. She’s waiting for me with open arms, and as I run to Her, I know that I am coming Home. Home to me.

My Goals:
While I am overweight, that is only a side-effect of the actual issue: the fear of expressing my true self. My goal is not so much about losing weight, but about having the courage to be all I am meant to be and expressing that to the world. My weight goal is to lose 50 pounds. My overarching goal is to finally love myself!
Personal Information:
I am a wife, mother, and scientist. I practice Reiki at the master level. I meditate regularly. I have (and have had) many hobbies: needleworking, sewing, playing music, and I have an interest in esoteric subjects.
Other Information:
Today, I realized that my favorite movie, "August Rush" is really a story about the characters looking for aspects of themselves. I love the books by Gregg Braden, especially "Walking Between the Worlds: The Science of Compassion".
