*January 1st, 2012* A new year and a new start. While when I started my journey, over eight months ago, I was well over 500lbs, I'm bit lighter. There for the starting weight for this year will be my current weight today. I hope to be at or under 400lbs by the end of the year, but I'm going to take it a day at a time. There for the starting weight for this year will be my current weight today. I hope to be at or under 400lbs by the end of the year, but I'm going to take it a day at a time. Last year I hit a few bumps in the road. But with the amazing friends I've made here on spark, I was able to get past the hurdles and see myself in a new light. Every day is a learning experience and every day I'm getting better! *2011* My main goal is to lose weight. I'm tired of having to by my clothes online and hoping that when they arrive, that they fit. I don't want to be the friend that no one invites to the birthday parties because they are afraid I'll break the furniture. I don't want to end up like the mother on "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" (although I do love that movie!) I want to lose weight to be healthy and happy and to be the best wife/mother I can be. I don't have kids now. But I would love to start a family with my husband someday.

My Goals:
right now my health related goal is simple... at least for the year. 56 lbs in 56 weeks :) ~*~The Goals & Reward for getting to each goal: *REACHED 1/26* = 10$ iTunes gift card 486.00 = 10$ iTunes gift card + 10$ Michaels gift card 475.00 = New MP3 player + 10$ iTunes card 465.00 = New Clothes 455.4 = 10% goal reached TATTOO 442.00 = New purse 432.00 = New hair color/style 422.00 = New Game 402.00 = New wardrobe ~*~
My Program:
I'm too broke to actually do this properly, so my plan is to monitor the amount of calorie, and sugars I take in daily. INCREASE THOSE STEPS!: (right now I'm averaging about 600 steps a day I want to increase this to at least 1,500 a day by the end of the eight weeks) MOVE IT TO LOSE IT: at least 10 minutes a day of exercise. Dance to a couple of songs none stop, do a spark video. Just MOVE HYDRATE: 8 glasses of water a day at a minimum! LOSE 10 POUNDS: working on my goals in 10 lbs intervals, makes them more attainable for me :)

Kristin, 30, married with a cat named "Peanut" I'm a student with Devry University working on my BA in graphic and multimedia design, who graduated from Bryan University with an AS in occupational sciences. I'm diagnosed as having bi-polar depression and will lose myself in a good book or crochet to take my mind off the world.
Other Information:
I'm a bookworm. I love to read and write. I'm also a fan of certain scifi things (like StarWars, Stargate SG1, FarScape, Eureka etc) Love vampires but cant stand what the Young Adult genre is doing to them (which is funny since I'm a fan of the Twilight books, but mainly for Jasper and Alice ^_^) I'm more of a cat person than a dog one. Although I would love to own a toy Russel terrier, a Labrador, and a wolf.
