A fresh start for life

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my page!

I am a 24-year-old college grad in Duluth, MN. I just graduated last May with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I am now working at the University in the College of Liberal Arts and plan to head to graduate school in a few years for my Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs.

I am a 24-year-old college grad in Duluth, MN. I just graduated last May with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I am now working at the University in the College of Liberal Arts and plan to head to graduate school in a few years for my Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs.

A little history about myself: I was a skinny kid. I never had to think about gaining weight because I had a crazy amazing metabolism. Those days flew out the window when I got to college. Over the college years I gained a good 30 pounds. I lost 15 pounds in the past, but gained it ALL back and then some.

During the last few years of college, I got very busy. I usually worked at least 20-30 hours a week on top of my studies. In the last few months before getting my degrees, I started working full time at my current position in addition to finishing out my full time coursework.

Now I feel as though the world is at my fingertips and that my life is just beginning! A fresh start at life means a fresh start for a healthy lifestyle. Thanks for joining with me in my journey!

My Program:
I go to the University exercise center every morning at 6:30 during the week. On the weekends, I try to stay active by working on projects and gardening at home.

I try to follow the MyPlate guidelines to control my portions of meat and carbs.

Personal Information:
I'm a 24 year old college graduate from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I work with students in the College of Liberal Arts as a Principal Operations/Student Services Specialist. I love to work with people of diverse backgrounds and find great enjoyment when I can help someone in some small way.

Other Information:
I love to sew, knit, crochet, bake, play with my dog, Winston, and spend time with my partner of 7 years, Aaron.

Too bad the snow missed Duluth during this storm. I'm still in my PJ's and it is almost noon. I like when mother nature makes us take a break and it isn't from anything devastating.
