Hi, I'm Lisa! I live in Colorado with my boyfriend and our 4 dogs. I'm going back to school to finish my A.A. that I started in '08 and should be done by Spring. Hi, I'm Lisa! I live in Colorado with my boyfriend and our 4 dogs. I'm going back to school to finish my A.A. that I started in '08 and should be done by Spring. I used sparkpeople a few years ago, but got off track. I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 10 and always struggled a little with my weight. I seem to go through phases of health and phases of not caring. But, I'm ready to get back on track and make some real changes! I would like to lose at least 30 lbs to get down to 150 by the end of the year. I also need to cut down on my alcohol consumption. Been drinking a lot more water and cutting down; went 4 days without during the start of my diet.

I am doing the Almased Synergy Diet in addition to a weekly exercise plan. (8/17/12) I just finished the 3 day starting phase where I only consumed shakes as meal replacements (a few veggies, but under 800 calories per day) and have been taking 2 of my dogs jogging daily. I lost 2-4 lbs. The scale has been fluctuating a lot due to water retention I think. One day it said 184, then 188 the next. Annoying!!
This morning it read 180.

Now, I will continue the diet with a combination of shakes and healthy meals staying between 1,200 - 1,500 calories 5 days a week and under 1,000 without carbs 2 days a week.

My weekly exercise plan is:

Monday: am yoga/pm jog

Tuesday: at least 45 min. of cardio + strength training

Wednesday: yoga/resistance training/stability ball/hula hoop combination workout

Thursday: Use the fitness center at college after class

Friday: am yoga/pm jog

Saturday or Sunday: at least 1 hr of cardio, preferably a hike
(and hooping)
