Prepare and prevent...
"It is better to prepare and prevent than repair and repent." I created the Whole Foods for Health team to support those who believe it is better to prevent or reverse life-threatening chronic illness that to treat it. (or ignore it and hope it goes away!) I teach Scrapbooking for the Rest of Us (aka Memorykeeping) in Arizona, USA. (see blog)

My Goals:
...to establish a lifestyle that reflects my belief that my body is a divine gift, and that enables me to celebrate health rather than treating illness. ...to beat leukemia by making lifestyle choices that strengthen my immune system and enable my body to fight the cancer itself.
My Program:
I get the best results when I combine the principles advocated by Dr. John McDougall with the food plan in The New Laurel's Kitchen. The result is a low fat, plant-based whole foods diet. I also include walking, stretching and strength training.
Personal Information:
My Wellness blog: http://azlady2.blogspot.com After growing up in NY and spending 23 years in the Midwest I now live in Arizona, and have no plans to change. I'm in the fourth generation of my family with Metabolic Syndrome, and I intend to be a survivor, not a victim. I also live with the effects of a nasty car accident 16 years ago. As a result I retired on disability in 1997. Update: In June 2007, as a result of paying attention to my Nutrition tracker, I learned that I have leukemia. It's chronic, not acute, but still....
Other Information:
I teach Scrapbooking for the Rest of Us. Scrapbooking is like cooking.... Some people enjoy making gourmet feasts...that doesn't mean the rest of us let our families starve. Some people like to make highly decorative albums, that doesn't mean the rest of us have to leave our photos on our hard drives!
