Ready to do this!

Hello! I'm 26 and live in Jacksonville, FL with my husband, Stephen, and our two kids, Fox;1 and Avery;2mo.

It's been a LONNNG time since I've logged into my SparkPeople account. I have severely slacked on logging my food and fitness. My husband and I just had our second baby and I am determined to get back into shape quickly! It took almost 8 months after the birth of our first child for me to start seeing results and I don't want that to be the case this time.

My Goals:
There are so many things I want to accomplish. Obviously, all this can't be achieved overnight. I am currently working out my plan to incorporate all of these into my daily routine..

Eat more nutritiously and organically.

Read one book a month.

Get back my green thumb and grow a garden!

Read my Bible more.

Save money.

Learn to sew.

Get back into school and earn my degree by age 30.

Become more organized.

Tone up.

My Program:
Here is a rough copy of what I think will help me achieve my goals. Please feel free to comment and give me advice!

Track every meal and stop eating/drinking junk in between meals.

Read one book a month and then Blog about what I read.

Start growing simple plants around the yard and learn about gardening rules/seasons/etc.

I used to daily devo every day, but have gotten out of the habit. I will start reading my Bible fervently and Blogging about what verse spoke to me.

Stephen and I are starting a new savings plan on Oct. 1. Step 1 is: I plan to save all the tips I earn at work. Not spending a penny!

My mother just gave me her Singer Sewing Machine. It is from the 80's, but is still amazing! I will start by learning different techniques then blogging and posting pictures of things I sew.

I want to finish my degree in either business or nutritional science. I plan to enroll in either UNF or FSCJ by the beginning of 2012 and

I'm almost the opposite here. 9 months is too long! I'm not afraid of having 3 kids- I mean maybe it's naive but could I lose my mind more? :) I already feel like a chicken with my head cut off! I dislike the majority of pregnancy!

It was a challenge, but I had nannied at home before with another kid plus my one so I had some idea of what I was getting into. :) I think the key is just to take it easy... for as long as you need to. My daily work was feed baby, feed toddler, hold baby, play with toddler, try to do one load of laundry, defrost something to eat (I highly recommend making as many meals ahead of time as possible. I plan on totally stocking our spare freezer this time around). Don't try to be super mom. Use paper plates, that's okay. :) Luckily, God gives us 9 months to prep and wrap our minds around it!

Hey there! I just saw your comment on my page. I definitely think that having set goals/rewards helps to break this journey up. When I think I've got to lose 45 lbs, that sounds overwhelming, but 10 lbs at a time...I can do that!! I hope you are enjoying SP!! There are so many amazing people and tools here for you! Let me know if you have questions or need support.

You got it! Yes, my mom was a huge fan of Clan of the Cave Bear. I have all the books and am on #2 at the moment. I will definitely check out the chat sometime! I'm still trying to figure this website out so it may be a little while before I do. We named our son, Stephen Fox after his father and great-grandfather. Thank you for your comment :)

Okay, is your mom a fan of Clan of the Cave Bear? your name is the main character's name----love that series. glad To see your post on the gardening team. A good place to put that question is on the Gazebo topic or Ask an expert. We would love to meet you "Over the Backyard Fence"---that is the chat---we talk about everything there. Love that you joined on here to learn more about living a healthier lifestyle----you are a winner for sure. Interesting name for your little boy---why did you choose that?
